Nottingham has a great public transport system, here are the best ways to get around our city whilst avoiding traffic delays:

Trains

Midland Mainline/East Midlands Trains operates routes to and from Nottingham.

Buses

There are several bus companies operating in Nottingham, the main one in the city centre being NCT (Nottingham City Transport). Trent Barton operate services that go through the suburbs and into adjoining cities. Both companies offer the ability to pay for tickets by cash on the bus (exact change required with NCT), and offer season tickets on their websites for discounts on frequent travel.

Nottingham has a bike hire network called CityCard Cycles. This allows you to use public transport and cycle hire to reach any part of the city, and surrounding suburbs.

Trams

Nottingham Express Transit (NET) operate the tram network which terminates at Stapleford, Clifton, and Hucknall. This is supported by a “Park and Ride” offering car drivers free parking at seven different locations, and easy access to onward travel to the city centre.
